The Mexican national team has fired head coach Jaime Lozano after an unsuccessful performance at the 2024 Copa America.
The Mexican national team failed to advance from the group with Venezuela, Ecuador, and Jamaica. As a result, Mexico scored four points and left the tournament.
The Mexican Football Federation announced the dismissal of the 45-year-old specialist. Lozano was initially offered to work on the coaching staff until 2027 as an assistant to the next coach with the possibility of taking over the role of head coach again after that. However, Lozano rejected the offer and resigned from his position.
