It is known that Viktor Tsygankov, a striker of the Ukrainian national team and Spanish Girona, was injured during Euro 2024, and for this reason missed the final two matches of the Ukrainian national team at the tournament - against Slovakia and Belgium. Since then, there has been no information about the nature of the 26-year-old player's injury, and only now there is clarity.
It turned out that Tsygankov suffered a second-degree thigh muscle tear during the starting match of Ukraine's national team at Euro 2024, against Romania (June 17).
As for the recovery time of the midfielder, doctors predicted that it would be from five to six weeks. Accordingly, if these predictions come true, then Tsygankov's return to training can be expected in a week. But, of course, at the first stage he will probably work on an individual program.
Well for now, as already reported, though Tsygankov is with Girona at the preseason training camp, but is limited to work in the gym. Yesterday's control match of his team with Olot (1:1) he, of course, missed.
