Former Chelsea head coach Graham Potter is still receiving a salary from the London club.

The Londoners pay their ex-coach a salary (compensation) for early termination of the agreement in April 2023 and will continue to do so until October 2024. Now, after Southgate's departure from the England national team, Potter is being called one of the candidates for the post of head coach of the Three Lions.
If he takes over the national team, Chelsea will receive £1 million, which will partially offset its costs. However, this amount is not impressive at all, given that in September 2022, the Londoners paid Brighton £21 million for the coach, who ended up working for only 7 months.
