Oleksandr Babych commented on his return to the position of head coach of Chornomorets Odesa.
- What was your decision to take the helm of Chornomorets again?
- I heard that a new young team was being built. I learned about the direction of development, real goals and objectives. The negotiations lasted not a day or two, but about two weeks. I missed Odesa, I missed working in the Ukrainian Premier League. The decision was made by me, my coaching staff and my family - unequivocally: to return. As they say, the time has come.
- Weren't you worried about the possible risks associated with taking over the team less than three weeks before the start of the championship?
- Of course, they did. But the club management told me about their position on this topic. The managers also understand the situation and fully trust me as the head coach and my coaching staff. They understand that at first it may not be as easy as we would like. But this is the coaching work and the work of the entire club - to create the most comfortable conditions for the task.
