The new head coach of Polissia Imad Ashour spoke about his first impressions after being appointed as the coach of the Zhytomyr club.
"Have I gotten used to being the head coach of Polissia? I got used to the fact that I have a certain role and certain functions that I have to perform. The context has changed, indeed. There were emotions, indeed. I had to put them down very quickly, because the moment I learned about my role and the new context. I had to immediately think about work.
Once again, I was left without a vacation, but this is not significant, because the vast majority of my life is about work processes. And it hasn't changed fundamentally. I can say that the same workload that I have had for most of my adult life remains, because I don't know how to work otherwise.
I could not feel anything but an incredible sense of gratitude at that moment. Because every time you are given an opportunity for a new challenge, you will feel that you don't know how ready you are for it or not, because it is something new. And I can only be grateful to those people who gave me the opportunity to prove myself in the context to which they invited me," Ashur said in an interview with the official Polissya website.
