The publication Capology, which specializes in covering the financial component of world soccer, published a ranking of salaries of footballers playing in the teams of the Spanish championship.
The highest paid player in La Liga is now the midfielder of Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, who receives 37.5 million euros a year. The second is a striker of the same club Robert Lewandowski with an annual salary of 33.33 million euros. Rounding out the top three is Real Madrid newcomer Killian Mbappe with an annual salary of €31.25 million.
As for the Ukrainian legionnaires in the Spanish championship, they are not even in the top 50 highest paid players in La Liga:
Andriy Lunin ("Real") - 2.81 million euros per year;
Artem Dovbik (Girona) - €2.5 million per year;
Viktor Tsygankov (Girona) - €1.4 million per year.
