Dynamo midfielder Volodymyr Brazhko shared his emotions after the 6-2 victory over Partizan in the Champions League qualifiers.
- Of course, emotions are still present, because everyone understood who we were playing against. We needed to win, we wanted to score as many goals as possible to have an advantage before the return leg. I think we played very well, but at the same time we could have avoided conceding goals - there was a penalty, there was a mess in the penalty area... We will work hard to score zero goals in the second match.
- Partizan's players played roughly today, provoked, there were moments when our players got excited, including you
- This is football. All the aggression, all the emotions, all the disputes remain on the field. In general, I controlled myself, but in the penalty shootout I ran up to the referee and wanted to ask why they didn't watch VAR when the opponent kicked me in the tibia in the 2nd minute. Honestly, I was shocked... But then I scored a goal, gave an assist, we scored six goals - and I calmed down.
- It seemed that the first missed goal did not affect the team's mood at all...
- In general, we were confident. Yes, it was unpleasant to concede a penalty, but I felt that we would press on and score. We went moment by moment, we could have scored more. However, I think we played well, and we will work to avoid conceding.
- To what extent did you feel the support of the fans on the pitch, who created an incredible atmosphere?
- Actually, it was a very good atmosphere. Thank you to the fans for coming to support us. We also felt a charge from every fan who could not come to the stadium and cheered in front of the TV screen. Of course, we concentrated on the game, but the fans made us run forward, and we felt it very much.
- We saw a lot of goals. In terms of physical condition, how ready is the team?
- It's better for the coaches to know, but I felt that I was ready to play even 90 minutes. But they decided to change me - perhaps because of the yellow card. The main thing is that we managed to win a convincing victory.
- Can you say that this game is the most significant in your career so far in terms of tension?
- I think so. Against this opponent, I wanted to score as many goals as possible and win for every Ukrainian.
