Borussia's managing director Markus Arets and head of human resources Markus Frieb handed over the check to the Ukrainian Consul General in Düsseldorf, Irina Shum.
"When we learned about the destruction of the children's hospital, we immediately decided that we would actively help. We want to support the local residents. What happened is unimaginably terrible, because once again innocent people, in this case children, have suffered. So it was a matter of course for us - Borussia Dortmund - that we should help with the reconstruction," said Frieb.
