Today, July 29, Mircea Lucescu celebrates his birthday. The experienced specialist turns 79 on this day. On behalf of FC Dynamo Kyiv, the club president Ihor Surkis congratulated the birthday boy.

On my own behalf, on behalf of our big Dynamo family and on behalf of the numerous army of Dynamo supporters around the world, let me congratulate you on your birthday.
We can list a long list of your achievements and accomplishments, but there is no point in doing so, because the awards and trophies you have won during your long coaching career speak for you best. It is not for nothing that you are considered one of the most successful coaches not only in Ukraine but also in the world.
After taking over Dynamo in July 2020, you won all three national trophies with the team in your first season at the helm and returned the team to the Champions League. You have repeatedly proved that you can not only achieve results on the football field, but also unite the teams you work with, turn the team into a well-coordinated mechanism, inspire with a common idea and skillfully reveal the best qualities of your wards.
Over the many years of your coaching career, you have gained invaluable football and life experience, which you continue to share with your players. They look up to you, learn something new from you every day and treat you with great respect, because you are not only a coach, but also a true mentor, friend, and often a second family.
I am sincerely grateful to you for doing a lot for the development of football in Ukraine, giving Dynamo a new impetus and not leaving our country in a difficult time.
On this festive day, I would like to wish you good health, happiness, family harmony and comfort, football longevity, achievement of all goals and objectives, strength, energy and optimism.
