Former Dynamo Kiev head coach Mircea Lucescu has accepted the Romanian Football Federation's offer to lead the Romanian national team and is already busy forming his coaching staff, Fanatik reports.
The source also names the salary of the 79-year-old specialist as the coach of the Romanian national team: it will amount to 324 thousand euros per year. On the same terms with the national team of Romania worked with its previous head coach - Edward Iordanescu.
There is a bonus for Lucescu in case he leads the Romanian national team to the World Cup-2026 - 200 thousand euros.
We would like to add that Lucescu has already worked twice as a coach of the national team during his coaching career: from 1981 to 1986 he coached the national team of Romania, from August 2017 to February 2019 - the national team of Turkey.
