"Arsenal are monitoring Julian Alvarez's situation and could make a move following his disagreement with Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola.

On Friday, ESPN reported that Atletico Madrid is considered the favorite to transfer the Argentina forward. However, now the Gunners have joined the race to sign the 24-year-old.

According to the Daily Mirror, Alvarez could move to north London from Manchester as Arsenal look to strengthen their attacking line. The Gunners' bosses will demand an amount in the region of £80 million for the forward.
