Former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Mircea Lucescu held a regular meeting with the leadership of the Romanian Football Federation and gave his consent to lead the country's national team. Already on Tuesday, August 6, the 79-year-old specialist will be officially presented as the new head coach of the Romanian national team, reports DigiSport.

Also, according to the source, Lucescu has already formed his coaching staff in the national team. His assistants will be Alexander Spiridon, who worked with him at Shakhtar Donetsk and Russian Zenit, Ionel Gane and Florin Constantinovic. Leontin Toader will remain the goalkeepers coach of the Romanian national team.
