Roma head coach Daniele De Rossi commented on the transfer of Artem Dovbyk from Catalan side Girona to the Italian club.
"When it comes to negotiations with players, every member of the club plays a role. Like any coach, I communicate with potential newcomers - otherwise transfers don't happen. In Dovbyk's case, the key influence was his conversation with Dan Friedkin. We needed such a player, and we did everything in our power to make this transfer happen.
Dovbyk will need time, but he has already settled in quite well. It's nice to know that all our newcomers really wanted to come to Roma - they turned down more lucrative options, said no to big-name clubs," De Rossi was quoted as saying by Football Italia.
