Arsenal and Ukrainian national team defender Oleksandr Zinchenko spoke about the role of athletes in defending Ukraine from Russian aggression.
Oleksandr Zinchenko- I think we have to present Ukraine in the best way possible, in any way possible, because sport, especially sports, is really a very strong language, a strong international language. We can speak it. To the whole world, in any country, if we talk about football, and I always say that any opportunity we have, we have to talk about our country and talk about the war and tell the truth about what is happening in our country.
And people have to understand that we have to be united and we have to fight this, because we know that today, and this is why, today it is Ukraine, tomorrow it can be another country. We have to show the whole world that this is aggression. In Ukraine, this is not just a part of our life, it concerns everyone," Zinchenko said.
