As previously reported, 18-year-old Dynamo Kyiv striker Matviy Ponomarenko has been nominated for the Champions League on the A list.

As it became known to Dynamo.kiev.ua, it is all the fault of... Zorya. The fact is that, according to UEFA rules, a club's pupil must play for its teams for at least two seasons continuously starting from the age of 15. And Ponomarenko spent the 2022/2023 season on loan at the Luhansk club, thus "breaking" his three years into three parts.
