Scottish Rangers defender Leon Balogun told what he expects from his team's first match against Dynamo Kyiv in the 3rd qualifying round of the Champions League, which will take place today in Lublin.
"A lot is said about the financial component for clubs that reach the main stage of the Champions League, and obviously it plays a big role for various reasons, but for me, reaching the main stage in itself is already the biggest motivation.
Especially since I've never played there before. At this stage of my career it would be one of my biggest achievements, it's my personal motivation. I'm sure every player in our team also has their own reasons to make it to the main stage. There is no greater motivation in soccer than the opportunity to play in the Champions League.
Therefore, I think that all of us are very determined to show the result already in the first match with Dynamo. This is a big event for all of us.
As for Dynamo, they are a very good team, which showed a very strong game in the previous qualifying round. So our opponent certainly has quality. But we also have it. Therefore, first of all, it is important to concentrate on our game, to strive to demonstrate our soccer and at the expense of that to succeed," Balogun said during the pre-match press conference.
