The current Formula 1 champion Max Verstappen told what motivational advice the legendary Dutch striker Johan Cruyff gave him.
"Johan Cruyff has always been a source of inspiration for me, and I met him in person in 2016. He was already seriously ill at the time, and it makes me think more and more. When someone is already in poor health and still tries to meet you on the track... It was incredible.
He told me, and I'll never forget it: "I might be 1-2 down at the break, but I'm still going to win this race." He was so optimistic and thought he would beat the disease. Unfortunately, it didn't happen that way," Verstappen said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
