This gold medal is the result of hard work, patience, determination, strength and confidence. This glorious victory is extremely important for the entire Ukrainian sport, our entire country, especially in this difficult time when the country is fighting against the Russian occupiers, and every achievement of Ukrainians in the international arena draws the world's attention to the situation in Ukraine.
Both adult athletes and children who are just taking their first steps in big sports look up to you.
I wish our Oleksandr good, Cossack-like health, strength and energy to reach new heights, win resounding victories and continue to glorify Ukraine. I also wish him peace, security, tranquility and a speedy end to the war."
