Manchester City head coach Josep Guardiola thanked striker Julian Alvarez for his contribution to the club's development.
"First of all, I want to thank Julian. We won everything, his contribution was huge. He was incredibly loved by the team for his behavior. "Atletico is a top club. It will be a new challenge for him. We wish him all the best. I learned a lot from him, and I hope he can find what he was looking for," Pep was quoted as saying by the Citizens' press service.
Earlier this week it was reported that City had agreed on a record sale for the club. Atletico Madrid will pay 95 million euros for the Argentine.
