This weekend are the matches of the 2nd round of the Ukrainian championship season-2024/25. In one of them on Friday, August 9, Rovno-based Veres and Dynamo Kyiv met. The match took place in Rivne at the Avangard stadium.

The match started in a combative manner: Veres prevented Dynamo from gaining the advantage with their activity, pressing, fighting and, finally, mood. Kyivians controlled the ball, but for some time did not threaten the opponent's goal at all. Nevertheless, on the 15th minute the guests created two consecutive chances, one of which was realized. First, Supriyaga found himself almost one-on-one with Kozhukhar, but Veres goalkeeper managed to clear the ball after the Dynamo forward's shot. And a few seconds later Shaparenko shot from the left corner of the penalty area and the ball flew into the far "nine" of the goal - 0:1. Moreover, on 19 minutes the same Shaparenko shot unhindered from the goalkeeper's line, but this time he failed to hit the target.
"Veres, having conceded a goal, tried to answer Dynamo with something, but they failed to create anything except for a couple-three non-dangerous attacks. Nevertheless, the Rovno players imposed a tough fight on Kyivians, which resulted in several yellow cards. Well, the next goal moment was created by the guests, but Voloshyn failed to realize a one-on-one outlet: he threw the goalkeeper over, but Goncharenko managed to get to the ball, which was already flying into the goal at the last moment. However, at the end of the first half Dynamo still developed their success: Dubinchak played into the penalty area of Veres to Shaparenko, the latter softly and accurately made a cross to the advancing Buyalsky, who, despite the active interference from the opponent, sent the ball into the gate of Rovenskiy - 0:2.
In the second half, the game was more turbulent and very emotional. Veres players came onto the pitch after the break so energized that they did nothing but break the rules. Nevertheless, the hosts achieved their goal. To be more precise, Dynamo gave the opponent a goal: Nesheret in an innocuous situation played directly to Sharay and the ball from his foot flew into the gates of Kyiv - 1:2.
"Dynamo" immediately responded with the most dangerous shot of Pihalenok, but Kozhukhar managed to save his team from the goal in a spectacular throw. Later, the Veres goalkeeper coped with a difficult shot by Buyalskiy in the same style. Finally, in the 71st minute the ball after Dubinchak's shot hit the bar of Veres' goal, and almost immediately after that Bragaru shot straight at the goalkeeper.
In general, despite the huge desire of Veres to win back, Dynamo completely controlled the situation on the field in the end of the match and as a whole without any problems (if not to count the most dangerous shot of Iago, which was handled by Nescheret) kept the winning score - 2:1.
In the next round Dynamo will have one more away game - with Lviv Karpaty. This meeting will take place on Saturday, August 17, in Lviv at the stadium "Ukraina" (kick-off - at 18:00).
