Head coach of Kyiv Dynamo Oleksandr Shovkovskiy on the air of UPL.TV summarized the results of his team's match against Veres (2:1) in the 2nd round of the Ukrainian Championship, which took place today in Rivne.
Oleksandr Shovkovskiy- First of all, I would like to congratulate all the fans on the start of the Ukrainian championship. This is a big step, considering the situation in which this tournament is held. And we should give credit to all the organizers, as well as thank all our warriors for the fact that we can hold these matches and give emotions to those who do everything to make us feel secure.
As for the game, we certainly could have finished the first half 5-0. In the second half, we had no problems, but we got a completely unnecessary goal. Nevertheless, we could have scored at least three times.
In the end of the match we tried to control the ball, but still I am not satisfied with the realization of chances. In the first half we saw only one team on the field - Dynamo. But the score is made not from the created chances, but from the goals scored.
- How do you comment on Nescheret's mistake, which led to a goal for your team?
- I can`t comment on the mistake of our defense, but, of course, we should not make such mistakes.
- Today you have carried out a significant rotation of the squad. Did all the players who took the field justify your trust?
- We controlled the game. It was completely under our control until we conceded. We gave additional trump cards to the opponent, he ran forward. But we could have scored again. True, we could have conceded at the end, but Nescheret played very well. But we should have scored six or seven goals today.
- Was today's game too rough?
- This is soccer and emotions. Every team wants to win, all players try not to concede. This, in principle, is normal. But some moments need to be reconsidered. However, there were such moments both in one side and in the other.
- Why didn`t you involve Karavaev, Yarmolenko, Brazko, Vanata in this game?
- This is my decision. I thought it was necessary and that's why I did so.
