Popular Canadian rapper Drake helped Italian "Venice" to avoid bankruptcy, TMZ reports.
According to the publication, co-owner of "Venice" Brad Katsuyama, who is a compatriot of Drake, turned to him for help. The Italian club needed to raise the sum of €10 million in a couple weeks and then another €30 million within a few months.
Over the next two weeks, with Drake's assistance, the Italian club managed to raise €36 million from various North American investors. This money allowed "Venice" to close its existing debts.
It should be added that at the end of last season in Serie B "Venice" managed to win a ticket to the elite division of Italy.
