Head coach of Lviv Karpaty Vladyslav Lupashko said that he has decided to appoint a new captain for each match of his team.
Vladislav Lupashko"I have such an idea, because I believe that the current generation is not as responsible as the past. When there is a captain, all the pressure when communicating with the fans falls on him. There is a responsibility to the club president, to the head coach of the team. The global idea is to distribute this role among everyone, so that all the players are involved in the process, so that they all realize that everyone in the team affects the result.
With this approach we want to show each player that we trust him. We want the captain's armband to stimulate them to take responsibility and show their true character. I believe that this is how teams are prepared, in which there will be not one leader, but several, and maybe even the whole team.
I have several candidates for each match. I look at who looks good in training, who takes responsibility, directs the actions of partners, prompts them. This is all part of the captain selection process during the weekly cycle.
Captain for the Dynamo match? There are two candidates, we are looking at them," Lupashko said in a commentary to the press service of Karpaty.
