Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Mykola Mykhailenko, who made his debut for his club's first team in the away match of the 3rd round of the Ukrainian championship against Lviv's Karpaty (3:1), shared his impressions of this event and the game in general.
Mykola Mykhailenko- The game was harder than expected because we conceded a quick goal, and it was a bit morale-boosting for the guys at the beginning of the match. But in general, we played very well afterwards and I think the result is more than fair.
- Did you have to change anything in the game, given the quick goal?
- No, we always play our own football and only to win, so we just did what we had to do and got 3 points.
- What was the coach's instruction to you when you came on as a substitute?
- Nothing special, I had to stick to the structure and communicate with everyone, because the last minutes were very important. I had to play without mistakes, clearly and reliably.
- The coaching staff is already starting to give you playing time, do you expect to play more in the future?
- I always do my best in training and in matches, no matter how much time I am given. The number of playing minutes will depend on me and other factors. We'll see how it goes.
- At the beginning of the season, Dynamo plays several away matches in a row in the Ukrainian league, how difficult is it?
- Of course, it is very difficult, because all the guys are far away from their families. Constantly from the bus to the plane and vice versa... these roads are very difficult, they affect us physically, but each of us is a professional, everyone recovers properly and takes it responsibly. There is no other way. This is the only way we can achieve results.
- Next Wednesday we play RB Salzburg, what do you think of this team? What are your expectations from the match?
- We haven't analyzed them yet, but everyone knows that they are a very good, strong team that regularly plays in the group stages of the Champions League and Europa League. So I think it will be two interesting matches. I hope we will prepare well and do well.
