Austrian Salzburg shared some statistical facts after the first match against Dynamo Kyiv (2-0) in the play-off round of Champions League qualification, which took place last Wednesday in Lublin.
It is reported that Dynamo had previously lost 0:2 12 times in the European Cup playoff rounds, and not once after that did not pass to the next stage.
At the same time, Salzburg have achieved overall success in the two-match European Cup encounter 14 out of 15 times after winning 2-0 in the first meeting. The only team that was able to knock the Austrians out of the fight in these conditions was Swedish Malmo (3rd qualifying round of the Champions League season-2015/16 - 0:2, 3:0).
Also, the press service of the Austrian club emphasizes the youth of its team: the average age of the starting lineup of Salzburg in the match with Dynamo was 22 years and 360 days, while the same indicator of the "basis" of Kyiv team was 26 years and 315 days.
Finally, the data on the distance run by the players of both teams during the match are given: Salzburg players covered an average of 12.09 km, and Dynamo players - 11.79 km. The best by this indicator was the Austrian midfielder Mads Bidstrup, who ran 13.94 kilometers.
