Ruslan Rotan, the former head coach of the Ukrainian Olympic team, explained why Rukh winger Ilya Kvasnytsia did not go to the 2024 Olympics.

Those who did not go - let's just say it was our agreement. Otherwise, we would have gladly taken Kvasnytsia. We wanted to take him to the match in Japan, but then there was a youth team. Unfortunately, due to an injury, as we talked to Rukh at the time, he did not go to the training camp in France for the tournament. So everything is simple," Rotan said.
