So, during the first half of the match, everything went according to our scenario, we did not give the opponent the opportunity to create chances, quickly rebuilt, and everything was fine.
Although we talked to the guys during the break, they came out for the second half with the subconscious idea that they had already won. We had problems, mainly in the transitional phases, when we lost the ball and did not quickly rebuild. But we had the advantage, controlled the ball, brought the game to a logical conclusion and naturally won.
- Did you expect the first goal to be scored so quickly? Was it a playful combination?
- Yes, it was one of the playful combinations that was successfully completed. We always expect to be aggressive in the final stages at every moment.
- The same starting lineup came out for the match as in the previous match against Karpaty, why did you decide not to make any changes?
- Many of our players were ill, so we proceeded from the condition of the players: those who looked better, recovered better, were the ones who came out in the main lineup. The rest are still recovering and waiting for their chance to play.
- The team created a lot of dangerous chances in the second half, what was not enough to realize at least one of them?
- I have already told the guys that when there is no discipline, no concentration in all phases of the game, when the players have the wrong attitude, they do not adjust correctly, do not show maximum effort, then in the final stage the ball will not go in, even if the goal is empty. Because everything is interconnected.
- Are you satisfied with the performance of the substitutes?
- They maintained the pace, but failed to realize their chances. Fresh players had to add a little speed. You saw how many attacks there were, but in the end we didn't finish, we lacked the last pass. In general, we should have scored a few more goals.
