Christoph Daum has died

The famous German coach, former coach of Stuttgart, Bayer and Fenerbahce Christoph Daum died last Saturday, August 24, in Cologne at the age of 70.

The cause of Daum's death was lung cancer, which he was diagnosed with in 2022. In recent months, the coach's condition worsened after long sessions of chemotherapy.

This summer, the Romanian Football Federation invited Daum to one of the national team's matches at Euro 2024 (the German coached the Romanian national team from 2016 to 2017), but he failed to make it to the tournament due to health reasons.
