After this week's return leg of the Champions League qualification playoffs, not only the list of participants in the main stage of the tournament became known, but also the composition of the baskets in the draw for this stage.
Recall that from this season in the Champions League there will no longer be a group stage of 32 teams: now the main stage of the tournament will be a single league of 36 teams, each of which will play 8 matches against different teams: 4 at home and 4 away.
The draw for the main stage of the Champions League will determine the eight opponents for each of the 36 teams. For this purpose, before the draw procedure, the participants will be divided into 4 baskets with 9 teams in each basket. During the draw, each team will get two opponents from each basket, one of which will play at home and the other away (with whom exactly at home and with whom away will also be determined by the draw).
The UEFA club coefficients will be traditionally used to form the baskets.
