England defender Kieran Trippier has announced his retirement from the national team at the age of 33 and after 54 games.
Kieran Trippier"As a Berry boy, I never thought I would play for my country, let alone 54 games. It was a great honor to represent my country in four major tournaments. I want to thank Gareth Southgate and his entire team for the trust they have shown me over the years.
Thanks to all my teammates. We had some very special moments, we played in two Euro finals and a World Cup semi-final, and I am sure this team will win a big tournament in the future. I want to wish interim coach Lee Carsley, the coaching staff and the team all the best for the future. And finally, a big thank you to all the English fans for your incredible support around the world," Trippier wrote on social media.
