Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Benjamin Verbic, who is now a player of Greek Panathinaikos, has found himself in a deadlocked situation.
Recall, the 30-year-old winger at the start of the season was excluded from the European Cup bid of his club. Slovenian is not attracted to the matches of the Greek championship. Panathinaikos head coach Diego Alonsa does not see Verbic in his team, and the club notified the player that he should look for a new team.
However, these searches did not yield anything: to this day there is no club that would like to buy Verbic.
As a result, the player began negotiations with Panathinaikos on early termination of the contract and obtaining the status of a free agent. According to Paopantou, these negotiations are close to a successful conclusion.
Note that the summer transfer window in Greece closes very soon, on September 11.
It should be added that Verbic's contract with Panathinaikos runs until next summer. According to Transefrmarkt, the current transfer value of the Slovenian is 2 million euros.
