One of the representatives of our coaching staff, Serhiy Kovalets, whose name was mentioned the day before as a possible candidate for the Obolon head coaching position, commented on this situation:
- "As far as I know, Obolon management is considering several options. And if I received an offer from this club, I would consider it with interest. As the famous German specialist Jürgen Klopp once said, everything in coaching comes out the third time. Perhaps, there is a grain of truth in the fact he noticed, so it is worth taking into account.
"Obolon is one of the original clubs in Ukraine, where Valeriy Ivashchenko, my colleague and good friend, has been working for many years. With him, the capital's team played successfully in the First League, rising in the rank at the end of the 2022/2023 season. Together with his coaching staff, he did a good job, thanks to which they managed to gain a foothold in the Premier League.
