News from the camp of one of Dynamo Kyiv's rivals in the main stage of the Europa League. Hungarian Ferencvaros announced the signing of a contract with Brazilian striker Mateus Saldanha, whose last team was Partizan Belgrade.
Nothing is reported about the details of the agreement with the 25-year-old footballer. According to Transfermarkt, this transfer cost Ferencvarosz €3 million.
"We have made a very valuable transfer and we are very confident that it will be successful. Saldanha has proven that he is a very capable and versatile player. He represents a completely different profile than our other two strikers. We know what big tasks and how many matches await us, so our expectations for the season are high. That's why we wanted to get a quality player for the striker position," commented Ferencvaros sporting director Tamas Hajnal.
Saldanha played for Partizan in the recent matches of the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League with Dynamo Kyiv (2:6, 0:3) and scored both goals against the Ukrainian team.
