Former Borussia Dortmund defender Mats Hummels is one step away from joining Roma, according to journalist Alfredo Pedulla.

According to the source, the 35-year-old defender arrived in Rome to undergo a medical examination and sign a contract. Hummels' agreement with Roma will be valid until the summer of next season.

Earlier, Bologna was actively interested in Mats Hummels, but the player took time to think about it and, in the end, the Red and Blues refused this transfer.

As a reminder, Roma is one of Dynamo Kyiv's rivals in the main stage of the Europa League.
