The HSV Supporters Club fan association has released a statement related to the fact that Dynamo Kyiv will play their home matches of the main stage of the Europa League at the Hamburg stadium, in which it made groundless accusations against the Ukrainian club.
"We critically perceive this decision taking into account our values. We understand that Hamburg will benefit financially, while we stand in solidarity with the people and soccer clubs who are suffering from the war.
But in this case, Hamburg is handing over its stadium to a club that has repeatedly displayed racist and discriminatory behavior, which should never take place in our stadium.
If Hamburg is serious about our values, it cannot lease its stadium to clubs that do not uphold those values. Otherwise, the motto 'Love Hamburg - hate racism' will become an empty phrase," the association said in a statement.
