Ukrainian national team striker Roman Yaremchuk together with head coach Serhiy Rebrov took part in a press conference on the eve of the 2024/2025 Nations League match against Albania.

Roman Yaremchuk

- Do you feel the hospitality and support from the Czech Republic?

- It is a great pleasure for us to be here, we really feel the support of the Czechs, we see the position they express. Thank them for that. I hope that tomorrow the Czechs will also support us on the stands, and there will be a good atmosphere.

- This is the first training camp of the national team after the Euro. Have the players communicated with each other and made conclusions?

- We communicate quite often, not only in the team. We realize that maybe we didn`t show our full potential, but we scored four points, which is the best result of the national team at the European Championships. Of course, in the match with the Romanians we showed not what we wanted, not the level of play. But in the following matches we showed that we really have great potential.

I hope that tomorrow at least the situation of the match with the Romanians will not be repeated. We have a fairly young team, the guys are learning from their mistakes. I hope the team will approach the game with high responsibility and show their potential.

- You moved to Olympiacos. How is your adaptation going? How ready are you to help the Ukraine national team tomorrow?

- Of course, the first months in a new team are always difficult. But I was well received, I feel good. You can say, my body lets me know that I am in good condition. Tomorrow, like all the guys, I strive to give a hundred percent to bring joy to the Ukrainians and get three points. Now the focus is on the Ukrainian national team, and I will talk about Olympiacos when I return to the club.
