Former Dynamo goalkeeper Volodymyr Tsytykin, who later worked for a long time with Ukrainian national teams of all ages, shared his expectations for today's Nations League match between the Czech Republic and Ukraine:
Anatoly Trubin"When I was coaching the junior and youth national teams of Ukraine, our paths often crossed with Czech peers, who were distinguished by good training and high-quality organization of the game. In recent years, the Czechs have also improved their high-speed technique, which has allowed them to improve their results in the international arena.
In my opinion, today a lot will depend on how the Ukrainians play in defense. The Czech national team has many tall players who are dangerous when playing standard positions. Unfortunately, our defenders cannot boast of reliability on the second floor. We can only hope that Anatoliy Trubin will prove in Prague that he plays well not only on the goal line.
I think that compared to the unsuccessful opening match with the Albanians, there will be changes in the Ukrainian national team. We can predict the appearance of Taras Stepanenko and Andriy Yarmolenko from the first minutes on the field, I think that Mykhailo Mudryk will come on as a substitute when his speed will bring more benefit. I'm inclined to believe that our team will score, if only they can keep their goal in the back of the net," Tsytkin said.
