Czech Republic midfielder Vaclav Cerny, commenting on the victory over Ukraine (3:2) in yesterday's home Nations League match, marveled at the support of the visiting team at the Prague stadium.
"I understand perfectly well that it's hard for people and lately there is no positivity around our national team. But we can't allow what happened today to happen, what happened at the Prague stadium.
I don't care at all how people look at me, but such a support of the visiting team in our stadium is creepy. We can't allow tickets to be sold like that. How is that possible? I would rather play with empty stands than something like this. I am a Czech citizen, we played in Prague and what was happening in the stands was horrible.
I hope that after this match things will get better again and we will become a nation that wants to go to soccer and wants to watch it. We have to be an attractive team that will play better soccer, present ourselves better and win. And then, very hopefully, the situation will change," Isport.cz quoted Cerny as saying.
