The fate of former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Benjamin Verbic, who is now a player of Greek Panathinaikos, remains uncertain.
Recall, the 30-year-old winger at the start of the season was excluded from the European Cup bid of his club. The Slovenian is not involved in Greek league matches either: Panathinaikos head coach Diego Alonsa does not see Verbic in his team.
In this situation, an attempt to buy Slovenian made Cypriot APOEL and even agreed with the player terms of a personal contract, but to agree on a transfer with Panathinaikos failed - despite lengthy negotiations, the clubs have not managed to agree on the amount of payoffs.
As a result, according to the Greek media, at the moment Verbic has only two options to continue his career, and both of them - in Turkey. The names of clubs-applicants for the midfielder are not named, but it is reported that both of them are ready to offer Panathinaikos a much larger sum for the ex-Dynamo player than APOEL offered. Verbic himself agrees to any of these options, because otherwise he will simply be out of soccer at least until the end of the season, when his contract with Panathinaikos expires.
One way or another, Verbic's fate will be decided this week, as the transfer window in Turkey will close next Saturday, September 14.
