As previously reported, Rezo Chokhonelidze has left the capital's FC Dynamo Kyiv after 17 years as CEO. Dynamo President Ihor Surkis thanked him for his many years of work for the benefit of the club:

You have devoted your entire life to football, first as a professional player and later as a football official and top manager. For many years, you have faithfully served Dynamo Kyiv, devoting your time, energy and knowledge to the functioning, development and improvement of the club. I know that you have put your heart and soul into your work as CEO, and I appreciate it very much. You are a special person with a big football heart and a desire to serve the interests of football. There are few people who are as dedicated to their calling as you are.
You made a difficult choice when you came to work for Dynamo from AC Milan in Italy, for which I personally and the entire Dynamo family are very grateful to you, and we appreciate this fateful decision.
In addition to your high professionalism, responsibility, and inexhaustible knowledge in the field of football, you have won over your colleagues, subordinates, and managers with your human qualities and high moral values.
It was always a pleasure to communicate with you, because you radiated sincerity, warmth and indifference, showed intelligence in all your actions, and your face was always decorated with a smile. You always not only listened attentively, but also willingly shared your ideas, views on football, competent opinions on a variety of situations and could give sound advice on any, even the most complex issue.
Unfortunately, the time has come to end our cooperation, but we are not saying goodbye. I am sure we will see you on the football fields of Europe. I sincerely wish you success, new achievements and victories in all areas of your life.
