The Football Association of England has officially announced the invitation of current Birmingham City coach Ashley Cole to join the national team's coaching staff.
Having assisted Lee Carsley in the England youth team since 2021, Cole followed the 50-year-old Irishman when he was appointed interim head coach of the senior national team.
Last year, Carsley and Cole led the young Englishmen to triumph at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, and in September the duo proved themselves at the adult level, leading the Three Lions to 2-0 victories over Ireland and Finland in the Nations League. Cole has now retired from club football and will focus on the national team.
