Journalist and commentator Volodymyr Zverov shared his impressions of Shakhtar's start to the new season in the Ukrainian league.
"Shakhtar's start is problematic, but not critical in terms of the standings. We will still make the first cut in the championship race in the late fall, after our two-match schedule in the European Cups. There we will see who will lose how many points. And how many times we will hear or mention the word "relocations".
There is a suspicion that the magic of the approaching Champions League has forced some Shakhtar players to put the championship in the corner. There is still a lot of time ahead - we will figure it out. Therefore, I would not consider the issue of motivation to be secondary. An example is Kevin, who, having been involved after a good spring, should have been crushing opponents on the wing with his skills... Reminding them that Shakhtar will play in three tournaments this season, in my opinion, is an important job for the coaching staff," Zverov said.
