Former Spartak Moscow goalkeeper Aleksandr Filimonov has assessed the current level of Russian soccer.

"I guess I'm some kind of white crow. Now everyone is watching something, discussing. And I don't have time, and I'm not interested. The level of soccer has fallen. Sometimes you watch a match in a company by chance. This year I traveled from the RFU to Grozny for the Cup of Russia. We arrived a few days in advance and had to watch matches two or three days in a row. Honestly, it is such a depressing spectacle, so uninteresting ...

When you watch European cups, it's completely different soccer. I was given the task to watch two matches of the Euros in the group stage. Everything is different there: speed, ball possession, passing culture, understanding of soccer, intelligence. But recently I watched "Dynamo" - "Krylya Sovetov" - golly, everything is so slow and clueless. That's why there is no desire. Sometimes I think that I miss something, because everyone is discussing it. But I was brought up on a different soccer, I don't want to waste time on such things," Filimonov said.
