Dynamo U-19 head coach Ihor Kostiuk commented on his team's 10-0 victory over Rukh U-19 in the 7th round of the youth championship.
Igor Kostyuk- We were satisfied with the realization, you saw how many chances the team created - this is the result of the conclusions we made after the last game. When we create chances and don't realize them, the excitement begins at the end.
Today, we scored our goals, I think we controlled the game and created a lot of chances, pressed, retreated in time, that is, we practiced all phases of the game. In general, we fulfilled the plan for the match.
- Rukh came closest to equalizing when the referee awarded a penalty. How would you comment on the actions of Surkis, who kicked the ball away? Could the match have turned out differently if Rukh had scored?
- I don't think the events would have developed any differently. As for the moment, I've already told the guys that we reacted poorly to the loss of the ball, didn't have time to reorganize, take our positions, which led to the eleven-meter penalty kick.
I also told the guys during the break that if they missed a goal, they would not have a day off. It was a joke, but the guys sincerely thanked Slava for taking the penalty (Smiles). We know that he does it well. So we earned an extra day off.
- Usually, when the score is confident, after the break the performance decreases a bit. Today, in the second half, you scored even more than in the first, is this due to this?
- You can see that we have a lot of competition now, so when players come on as substitutes, they want to prove themselves. We emphasize that we don't have first-team players and substitutes - everyone contributes, trains, and the starting lineup is determined before a particular game. Those who work harder, who take part in the game with great desire and sports aggression, go on the field immediately or as substitutes. Those who work less do not even make the team.
- The goal scored by Andriyko stands out, did you like the way he performed?
- This is something we work on in training: in the penalty area, you need to make quick decisions and shoot from under your feet. Today we just scored several such goals.
- Not so long ago, Rukh was the champion of Ukraine, but today this team did not show a game similar to the championship?
- They are in the process of rebuilding, there are many players born in 2006, 2007, 2008, and we still have to wait.
