Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi will leave MLS in 2025 to finish his career in his homeland.

Messi played for his hometown team Rosario in his youth from 1994 to 2000, and since then, the forward has repeatedly stated that returning to Newell's Old Boys is one of his goals. According to Lionel, this move will be the logical conclusion of his successful career.
