Today, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. On behalf of the Dynamo Football Club, the President of the club Igor Surkis congratulated the Ukrainian heroes on the holiday.

The whole of Ukraine honors your outstanding feat of selfless and steadfast defense of our country against the Russian aggressor with great respect. We thank you for your courage and fortitude, for your incredible strength of spirit and fantastic bravery on the battlefield.
Without you, our dear defenders, this beautiful Ukraine would not exist. It is you who have become the shield that holds back the Russian invasion and allows not only our country to exist, but also many others that could become the next target of this aggressive and hostile country.
We bow our heads to the fallen, honor their memory and do our best to help those who stood up to defend Ukraine's free and independent state.
