"Dynamo and Kryvbas will be judged by the best referee of the last season

The FFU Referees Committee has appointed a referee team for the match of the 9th round of the Ukrainian championship between Dynamo Kyiv and Kryvorizh Kryvbas, which will be held next Sunday, October 6, in Kyiv at the Dynamo stadium named after Valeriy Lobanovskiy (kick-off at 18:00).

Nikolai Balakin

The on-field referee is Mykola Balakin from Kyiv region. The last time this referee was appointed for a match with Dynamo very long ago, two years ago, and, interestingly enough, then the rival of Kyiv team was also Kryvbas. That meeting ended with the victory of the capital team with the score 3:1.

It should be noted that Balakin was recognized as the best referee of the Ukrainian championship of the season-2023/24. In addition, this referee worked at Euro-2024, but was assigned to matches only as a reserve referee.

Dmytro Zaporozhenko (Zaporizhzhya) and Oleksandr Berkut (Sumy) will be the linesmen for the match Dynamo vs Kryvbas. The fourth referee is Viktor Kopievsky (Kropivnitsky).

Also at the upcoming meeting will work VAR system - under the direction of referee Andriy Kovalenko from Poltava.
