Ukrainian defender Yevhen Tkachuk has announced that he is retiring from active professional football.
"Hello, everyone! My name is Yevhen Tkachuk, and at the age of 33 I have chosen a new professional path. After spending more than 20 years as a professional footballer, I made a difficult decision to leave the sport I have loved for so long.
Due to a large number of different injuries over the past 10 years, I became interested in the field of rehabilitation and physical training of athletes, and I have the appropriate education.
This is a new and exciting area for me and now I am ready to apply this knowledge and my own experience to help people, especially athletes, recover from injuries and improve their fitness.
Thank you all for your support," Yevhen wrote on Instagram and added a photo of himself wearing a T-shirt of his last club.
