Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone spoke about the 0-4 defeat to Benfica in the Champions League 2nd round match.
"The match did not go well for us, we did not manage the game well. The opponent took advantage of all our mistakes. They played decisively in every segment of the match and constantly had chances to score.
From the very beginning, it was obvious that things did not go according to our plan. And the penalty in the second half put us out of the game. Everything we did was a bad choice of the coach. The responsibility lies with the coach who makes changes to the game. You have to accept it, because it's part of the game," Simeone was quoted as saying by AS.
