Rukh's head coach Vitaliy Ponomaryov noted the good level of refereeing in the Ukrainian league.
"The refereeing has become more objective and better, but it can be different. Vitaliy Romanov refereed the match against Dynamo at a fairly good European level. I want it to be a system, not a case.
At the training camp in Slovenia, we played good teams, including Luton, Hajduk, Osijek, Sturm and others. The refereeing is like this everywhere in Europe, as Romanov showed. We need to let the players play.
But I would like to reassure everyone - the referees will still make mistakes. They are also people, and this is an integral part of the game. Everything is never perfect without mistakes. Footballers, coaches, presidents make mistakes. And referees will make mistakes. The main thing is that it is not bias.
But in general, we have fairly normal refereeing in Ukraine. You can feel when an arbitrator is biased. I have been working at the Premier League level for three years now. Probably only in one match did I feel that the referee was biased. The rest of the games were refereed at a good level, and there will always be mistakes," Ponomarev said.
